Stone Restorations
At Upton Builders, we are highly experienced in the accurate replication and replacement of stonework that is in need of repair. Our stone restorers have many years of in-depth knowledge to be able to provide innovative solutions for damaged stonework.
The specialist team will cast near-identical replicas to restore the appearance of any missing sections, focusing closely on colour match to ensure that repairs are practically invisible to the naked eye. Some of our stone restoration work includes outdoor steps, internal and external walls, as well as stone openings.
Lime Mortar Repointing
Essential to the conservation of many old structures, natural Lime mortar has its advantages over more modern materials such as typical cement mortar. One of the main benefits is its ability to allow water to permeate through it and, therefore, when used within a natural stone wall, it allows the natural stone to breathe.
Lime mortar will also expand and shrink with changes in temperature through different seasons making it less likely to crack.
Brickwork and Blockwork
Upton Builders are experienced in completing refurbishment jobs requiring brickwork and blockwork. We ensure to use compatible bricks and mortar to maintain a consistent aesthetic.
